SessionsI work with people who work with themselves, people who want to know who they are, and for whom this desire has become a way of life. I offer new perspectives, practices, and fresh access to your experience. I embrace who you are, and am deeply curious about what our work together will reveal. I don't tell a client who she is — we explore questions, discover answers, and move on to new discoveries. This work is about the inner adventure, revelation, the unknown, and possibility, starting with where we are now. You have worked on yourself: therapy, movement, energy work, spiritual work, inspired by a passion for self-discovery. You have a degree of self-understanding, or, perhaps, wisdom. You want to deepen this understanding. We might begin with a conversation about this, to consider where your journey could take you from here. You have been meditating or have been dedicated to a spiritual teaching or teacher for some time — a year, five, twenty, or more. Your practice may feel flat or uninspiring, or you may be feeling blocked or resistant. Emotions may be arising that you are uncomfortable with or have a judgment about. We can sit together and explore your meditation practice. You may encounter barriers that are doorways into new information or insight. We go from there into unknown territory. You have just begun to wonder who you are. We can explore this wonderful, exciting situation, as well consider the many techniques, religions, practices, and teachers available in your area and beyond. You feel difficulty coping with painful feelings of loss or despair. Your spiritual practice has not "come through" as support in a time of difficulty; you feel lost and alone. We can explore what support would feel like for you. Breathwork and body-sensing offer internal support for you to relax into your feelings. We can examine why your faith or practice has not served you as you needed. You want to feel closer to yourself, more connected to your body, energetically and emotionally. You might sense that you are missing out on the richness of your life. You want to feel more "alive"! We have many body-centered options to try out here: breathwork, body-sensing, dynamic movement, and more, which open the inner channels of the body, allowing you to come into direct contact with your emotional and energetic body. Your spiritual practice, once deep and fulfilling, no longer supports you where you are in terms of development. You wonder if it's time to find a new spiritual practice or teacher. We can look at where to go from here by discovering what you need and want in a practice, as you are now. |
